the dreaded stomach bug found its way into our house. Yuck!! First off, I have to say that I am so incredibly grateful that we managed to make it a whole year without having to deal with the complete ickiness that is the stomach bug. I have no idea how we were so lucky to avoid it for this long! Poor Logan woke up Friday morning COVERED in vomit and diarrhea. I was greeted by an awful smell as I approached the room that morning. As soon as I opened the door I looked over at Logan and realized what the smell was. That little man sure is lucky that I love him so much! Ha! I just had to stand there for a few seconds trying to figure out a game plan. I didn't know where to start with the cleanup process! Thankfully he has only thrown up twice, but unfortunately the second time I was holding him. Needless to say mommy and Logan needed a wardrobe change.
Today he was still battling some yucky poop and a low grade fever, but all in all I think we've fared pretty well. I am praying that the rest of us somehow manage to escape coming down with it. So far so good, but we still have a few days left of the incubation period. I have been a Lysol fool since Friday morning and I think I am going to need a really good hand lotion to soothe my dry hands from all the hand washing. I absolutely hate this virus and I want these germs out of my house ASAP!
Thank you, Aunt Christi & Uncle Adam for bringing us a yummy dinner tonight! It was nice to not have to worry about what I was going to fix for dinner.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

Yuck, so sorry! Baby C has gotten the bug so badly that I was literally walked into the shower, holding him, with both our clothes on to rinse the vomit. (Then had to carpet clean). One of the two times he's been that sick... it started in the first hour of a 24 hour day of plane flights. Yeeeaaaahhhhh. That. was. awful. And ever since that February episode of horrible diarrhea and the associated mega-sore bum, he has hated diaper changes. So anyway, I feel your pain and I hope the little guy gets feeling better soon and that you can all hold off the germs! Keep him hydrated with electrolytes and apple juice if he can't hold down his milk. And don't bother doing your hair because it's just going to get puked on ;)
ReplyDeleteOh boo! Hope he feels better very soon and the rest of the household is spared! Hang in there momma!
